Use RSScache.com with your feeds!

Help save bandwidth by setting up all your feeds to use RSScache.com. It's easy, and you will even save some of your own bandwidth!

The bandwidth problem:

Since the popularity of RSS feeds has grown in the last years, we are starting to see bandwidth usage grow as well. For some very popular Web sites, this has caused a headache: should they continue or not to offer feeds? Bandwidth prices led many sites to remove their feeds, or to trim them to the maximum.

But how can you help with this increasing problem? Well, you could stop getting the feeds off some sites, or you could retrieve the feeds only once a day. But in that case, feeds are useless for both you, and the Web sites. That's not the way RSS feeds were intended to be used.

The solution :

Use RSScache.com ! Instead of pulling the feeds directly off your favorite sites, use our service as an intelligent caching system. RSScache.com only sends you the news you haven't received from a specific feed! The best part: you don't install anything, and it's compatible with all feed readers!

To use our system on your favorite feeds, all you need to do is add " my.rsscache.com/ " to the feed URL.

For example, suppose you have set up this feed URL in your RSS reader:

http://www.favoritesite.com/feed.xml

Now, to start using RSScache.com on with this feed, add "my.rsscache.com/” to the URL:

http://my.rsscache.com/www.favoritesite.com/feed.xml

That's it! Now, simply do the same for each of your feed, and start saving bandwidth for both the Web site and for you!

Generate a unique URL

Since RSScache.com is authenticating you with your WAN IP address, it can happen some times that your address is used by more that just one person. For example, if you work in a company, chances are that all the other employees have the same IP address when reaching our server.

If you feel like your feed is not delivering correctly the news to your reader, it's maybe because another user queries the same feed through our system. To correct this problem, you can generate a unique URL that will authenticate you as the only person accessing the feed you want. You can even use this unique URL with all your current feeds.
